01 What They Do

I have signed up for my first monthly photo challenge, Willette: Joy of Love. It runs the entire month of February, and includes little lessons on photography each day, which I think will be great for me, as I want to take better pictures.  The subject of the photos can be any loved one: boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, children, and even pets! (which is GREAT because if you know me, you know I love, love, LOVE my cat, Henry.)

So for my first assignment we are supposed to capture a loved one, when they are doing something that they love, and that really has "them" written all over it. For this, I couldn't decide on one, but two instead. One is a little older, from last summer, and the other was taken for the assignment.

We were supposed to focus on the lighting in these pictures. As for the picture of Tom, the lighting is okay considering that it is outside under the sun. The lighting was pretty dark in the library, especially seeming we needed the projector to be on, and I didn't use the flash per my fear of disrupting the meeting. Either way, I think these pictures capture what my boyfriend, and my dad, love to do.

Febtober!

Gosh, sorry its been a while! The snow has kept me busy and boy have we had a lot of it! (In fact, it is snowing as I type!)

At the beginning of the week, we celebrated my youngest sister's birthday. There was french toast and strawberries with whipped cream and homemade ice cream cake (made by the birthday girl herself!) that was loved by everyone, especially Jakey:

I also went snowshoeing for the first time ever! Tom and his brother took me up the mountain behind their grandmother's house and it was so much fun! I loved it and have officially decided to look into getting my own pair of snowshoes! The day was nice and sunny, but chilly if you were white-washed like these two dopes! But at least they let me stop to take pictures every now and again!

I'm sorry those photos are so small, i'm having difficulty uploading them I guess. I will look into it, otherwise any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Anyway, I've been working on a few photo projects lately and will post them soon! Until next time!
