Day 14

So, to jump right into it, Day 14 is A picture of someone you cannot live without.

I can't live without my family!
I also finally got a couple shots of the new morning doves that were born the other day and their momma.

Welp, that's it for tonight. I'm pooped! G'night!

A Rainy Day

The weather had just been too nice to be sitting on the computer, but I found a rainy day to catch up.

For my 30 day Photo Challege:

Day 8: A picture that makes me laugh:

Me, Tom, and April at Funspot
Ok, I didn't take this, but I edited it... It makes me laugh because the very creepy employee that took this for us was very friendly to our guest, then we all wanted to take them up on their offer of having them take our picture all over the arcade.

Day 9: A picture of the person that has gotten me through the most:

Tom, My Dad, and Trevor
I may have cheated, but they all have been there for me when I needed it. <3

Day 10: A picture of the person that I do the craziest things with:

Most likely Cole.

Day 11: A picture of something I hate:

Stupid drivers. Hate 'Em!

Day 12: A picture of something I love:

My Family. <3

And for tomorrow,
Day 13: A picture of your favorite band or singer:

493 1/2 Square Feet of Puppy
There, now i've been really productive! I made fudge brownies, beer batter bread using WoodChuck Cider, which was awesome, and I made chocolate lollipops! Here are a couple pictures:

Ok, its getting late, so I'm going to hit the hay!

G'night!

And I'm Back!

I realized today, that I haven't linked the page where I am finding this photo challenge: The 30 Day Photo Challenge on Facebook.

Day 07 of my 30 Day photo Challenge: A picture of my most treasured item. I bet dad is already shaking his head about this one. To introduce my photo, I will tell you the back story. This particular item is one that my parents got for me before I was even born. I was inseparable with this item, and would be devastated when I misplaced him. Or even worse, when after I saw the Stan Dragoti film, Mr. Mom, I was convinced that when I lost it, that mom or dad had gotten rid of it, just as the dad in the movie, Jack, did to his son's woobie when he was becoming too old for a security blanket. (Dad had always reassured me that due to my treasured item's seniority over me, that they would get rid of ME first...) However, after countless searches in the backyard at bedtime, turning around to vacation stops to find 'Mr. Ed' as he was sometimes called, I cannot bring myself to get rid of my 'Monkey.' (I'll show you the 'after' first... then leave you with the 'before' so you end this on a happy note, and don't leave here with nightmares.

The After....

Monkey, after years of abuse: teething, bratty siblings, many travels and so on.
And Before,

My grandfather, and his two monkeys.
Anyway, here are a couple other pictures from our Memorial Day dinner to leave you with less chance of nightmares tonight.

And now i'm cooled off from our bike ride, and its time for photo club! Night all!

Weekend off....

( I wish...)

So back to my 30 Day Picture Challenge,

Day 4: A Picture of your Night

This was a little more difficult, seeming I worked the evening shift, and photography for outside use is basically a no-no. But, this may suffice, though a little older, and not actually taken by me... buuut, I edited it a little, soo, I had a hand in it? (Hey, gimmie a break!)

Day 5: A picture of your favorite memory

Tom's Birthday (Sunday!) Also worked the evening shift on Sunday, so we celebrated today, with a bike ride and DQ! That will make a nice memory, however, I did not have my camera on me.

The Fam in Florida
This was a fun memory. We all went to Florida for the week and got away for a while. It was nice, and we had a really fun time. We went to Bush Gardens, Universal Studios, Gator watching and to the ocean!

Day 6: A picture of a person you'd like to trade places with any day.

First, Oprah, because she does so much for others and just looks like she has a good time.

Second, Henry. He has such a sweet life... climbing things, chasing us, eating foods, sleeping, and so on. Plus he's a pretty sweet kitty.
Ok, well, that should be it for tonight. Time for bed! Photo Club tomorrow! Night All!

It's about time...

Sorry its been a while all. To recap: Tom, Henry and I have new digs! My bro moved in with us! (His first apartment!) Things are going really well with that, except that there is a Facebook Pawn Stars game war going on under our roof right now-no worries though, I am winning. ;-) I [finally] graduated, now i'm taking a breather before going back for my bachelor's. So now I have time to fiddle with this! And also hopefully organize my craft station so I can get back to making stuffs. Lately I've picked up needlepoint and am working on a project for my new little cousin! Pictures to come when it is more than just straight lines.

To start back up, i've been wanting to do some photo challenges outside of my photography club, and I saw one on Facebook again, that's a little fun. A photo a day, for thirty days. I think I can tie that into the Photo 365 project too. So, even though it's June 3rd, i'm going to submit the three photos to start the 30 Day Photo Challenge off with.

Day 1. A picture of yourself and ten facts.
Day 1. Me (and Tom)

Facts Aboot Moi:
10. I'm terrible at keeping up with journals, blogs, diaries, snail mail, you name it.
9. I'm weird.
8. I like playing in tide pools.
7. I pick change up off of the street.
6. I enjoy Pauly Shore movies, and I'm proud of it.
5. I like to learn, but not at school.
4. I like the toilet paper to go over the roll, as opposed to under, even though it is better for the environment in the long run.
3. I like to read.
2. I love random dance offs.
1. I get excited when I hear 'How Bizarre' by OMC on the radio.

Day 2: A picture of yourself and the person you have been closest with the longest.

Probably this guy, right here....
Trevor and I, at a friend's wedding. He was, and still is, my Tinman.

Day 3: A picture of the cast of your favorite show.

The Office, shy of Darrell.

So there you have it, my first post back. Okay, now i'm going to clean that craft table so I can get down to business! Have a good night!

01 What They Do

I have signed up for my first monthly photo challenge, Willette: Joy of Love. It runs the entire month of February, and includes little lessons on photography each day, which I think will be great for me, as I want to take better pictures.  The subject of the photos can be any loved one: boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, children, and even pets! (which is GREAT because if you know me, you know I love, love, LOVE my cat, Henry.)

So for my first assignment we are supposed to capture a loved one, when they are doing something that they love, and that really has "them" written all over it. For this, I couldn't decide on one, but two instead. One is a little older, from last summer, and the other was taken for the assignment.

Tom, enjoying the sun at Acadia on our camping trip

Dad, leading our local camera club

We were supposed to focus on the lighting in these pictures. As for the picture of Tom, the lighting is okay considering that it is outside under the sun. The lighting was pretty dark in the library, especially seeming we needed the projector to be on, and I didn't use the flash per my fear of disrupting the meeting. Either way, I think these pictures capture what my boyfriend, and my dad, love to do.

Febtober!

Gosh, sorry its been a while! The snow has kept me busy and boy have we had a lot of it! (In fact, it is snowing as I type!)

At the beginning of the week, we celebrated my youngest sister's birthday. There was french toast and strawberries with whipped cream and homemade ice cream cake (made by the birthday girl herself!) that was loved by everyone, especially Jakey:

Before.....

.....and after.
***(Don't worry, we scraped off the chocolate ice cream and crunchies)

I also went snowshoeing for the first time ever! Tom and his brother took me up the mountain behind their grandmother's house and it was so much fun! I loved it and have officially decided to look into getting my own pair of snowshoes! The day was nice and sunny, but chilly if you were white-washed like these two dopes! But at least they let me stop to take pictures every now and again!

The way up

I'm sorry those photos are so small, i'm having difficulty uploading them I guess. I will look into it, otherwise any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Anyway, I've been working on a few photo projects lately and will post them soon! Until next time!

Snow Day!

Sorry for the leave of absence there! To update: new laptop: delightful, school: started last night (ONE MORE SEMESTER!), the flu: is STUPID, and there WAS a craft table under that pile of junk!

Tuesday, Mother Nature decided to pelt us with more snow, on top of the two feet we are hiding under from last week. I decided to take advantage of it for my photography class, our assignment being "Snowscapes." Tom played chauffeur so I could take pictures. Here are a few that I caught:

Our Street, Shoveling Duty

Too Much Snow

Dangerous

Our library, from the sexy side.

Lone bobhouse on the cove, stuck out like a sore thumb.

The Point

Old Perley Oak drive by

Old Mill Building

Old water pump machinery stuffs

I love lamp.

Old water machinery stuff from the angle.

Sheep Farm.

Sheep farm, with flash, and snowflakes.

trees.

low visibility.

What's black and white, with a tiny smidgen of orange? My picture.

orchard trees.

our mascot.

New England.

These are a couple pictures that I took at a friends apartment in town. They live in an old Victorian and I fell in love with the entryway, specifically, the old doorbells.

And today, on my day off, I spent my time sewing and playing with chocolate! I've been sewing some arm covers for a few of the wheelchairs at work. When I complete those, I'll post a picture, but I need some more velcro. This is a sampling of what I made as far as the candy today. Chocolate covered pretzels, and little chocolate hearts using the new candy molds that I got. :-) I think I taste tested too many though. Booo.

yummmy.

Anyway, that is all for now. Time for homework! Until next time!
